New ICANN webinars on DNS

NIC together with ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) are planning a second series of webinars and online trainings primarily aimed at the Internet Community in Central Europe and the Baltics. The timeline for the upcoming trainings:

Resolver usage in the EU

DNS resolution is typically done either by Internet service provider (ISP) resolvers or by public resolvers. In January 2022, ICANN’s Office of the Chief Technical Officer (OCTO) observed that 95% of consumers served by large European Union (EU) consumer ISPs are using their ISP- provided Domain Name System (DNS) resolvers. Only about 4% of consumers served by large EU consumer ISPs are using public resolvers such as Google Public DNS (3%), Cloudflare (0.6%), and Cisco OpenDNS (0.4%). This talk will explore those findings in more details.
