.LV participates in the CENTR Business Operations & Processes workshop meeting

From October 9–10, 2025, the CENTR Business Operations & Processes group meeting took place in Tallinn. Each time, the participants share updates on current registry business processes, as well as implemented improvements or challenges related to domain name registration.

During the meeting, special attention was given to personal data verification and renewal, and to finding ways to address forgetfulness or irresponsibility among domain name holders. Participants also discussed the potential of artificial intelligence to compile data and perform statistical analysis to help registries plan improvements to their business processes more efficiently.

Several registries also shared their future plans – including increasing domain name prices. Such decisions are not easy, but each registry has its own reasoning behind the necessity of these actions. The meeting was also attended by registrar representatives, who shared their observations on changes in end-user behavior, developments in the domain industry, and the growing importance of cybersecurity at the domain level.
