Free online course “Cybersecurity Basics”

ICANN has introduced a new and free online course on Cybersecurity Basics, available on ICANN Learn - a free and open online learning platform, which anyone interested is welcome to use. You just need to sign up to https://learn.icann.org to access the full course catalogue.

The Cybersecurity Basics course is meant to serve as a foundational course for those without tech backgrounds. This course provides an introduction to basic cybersecurity concepts and vulnerabilities that may exist in the technologies we commonly use. You will learn about the importance of cybersecurity for end users as well as how to assess risks and protect information. By the end of the course, you will understand key cybersecurity terms and the various threats present today. This course will also help you to identify the relevance of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

ICANN is currently working on more advanced courses, which will be rolled out over the next few months (on topics such as DNS Abuse and DNS Fundamentals).
