DNSSEC Hands-On Training

NIC in cooperation with CERT.LV and ICANN (from 11. till 12. of September 2017) organizes a 2 day hands-on training on Domain Name System (DNS) risks and DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extension).

During training, participants will learn how to implement DNSSEC, how to sign the zone and manage encryption keys.

Participants must have an understanding of DNS and network basics as well as some knowledge of Linux / UNIX command line. Participants need to bring a computer with WiFi access. The training will be held in English. For the course, CISSP / ISC2 members can receive CPE points.

Instructor:

Dr. Richard Lamb is part of ICANN’s Security team and has over 35 years of Internet experience as engineer, entrepreneur, and policy expert. Currently responsible for DNSSEC efforts at ICANN including outreach and training, Rick was the technical and policy architect for ICANN’s root DNSSEC deployment.
