Amendments to the Registry-Registrar agreement

The public comments period on amendments to the Registry-Registrar Agreement and .LV policy has been closed.

The amendments were made to ensure the compliance of NIC.LV services with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter referred to as the Regulation). We have collected and implemented proposals submitted by Registrars, domain name holders and public authorities.

The Registry-Registrar Agreement has been supplemented with Annex 3 “Personal Data Processing”, which defines the roles and responsibilities of the Personal Data Controller (NIC.LV) and the Processor (Registrar). We have e-mailed the Annex 3 to all .LV Registrars.

Please note that we will continue our collaboration only with the Registrars who will send the signed Annex to our postal address by May 24th, 2018:
